Apple Crisp Macchiato

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Serves: Makes about ⅔ cup syrup; 1 serving macchiato

  • 1 apple, sliced
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup apple juice
  • ¾ cup water
  • ¼ teaspoon apple pie spice
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons spiced apple syrup
  • ¾ cup Wide Awake Coffee Co. Cold Brew Unsweetened Espresso Blend, chilled
  • ¼ cup Wide Awake Coffee Co. Salted Caramel Dairy Creamer
  • Whipped cream
  • Caramel sauce
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Cinnamon sticks (optional)

  1. For the apple syrup, simmer the sliced apple, brown sugar, apple juice, water, and spices in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until the liquid is reduced by half and is syrupy, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat, let cool, then strain into a clean jar. Stir in the vanilla.
  2. To make a macchiato, measure the spiced syrup into a serving glass. Fill the glass with ice, then add the cold brew. Slowly pour the creamer on the coffee (pour it into the glass over the back of a spoon to create a layered effect), then top with whipped cream, caramel sauce, and sprinkle with cinnamon and add a cinnamon stick if desired. Serve immediately.
