For the holiday week prep some coffees that are sure to be a crowd-pleaser. Make the apple spice syrup ahead of time, then all you’ll need is our Cold Brew and Salted Caramel Creamer to whip up this festive macchiato!
Prep Time: 15 min | Cook Time: 30 min | Serves: 1 (plus extra syrup!)
You’ll need:
- 1 apple, sliced
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup apple juice
- ¾ cup water
- ¼ tsp apple pie spice
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup Wide Awake Coffee Co. Cold Brew Unsweetened Espresso Blend, chilled
- ¼ cup Wide Awake Coffee Co. Salted Caramel Dairy Creamer
- Whipped cream, caramel sauce, ground cinnamon, cinnamon stick (optional)
Make the apple syrup:
Simmer apple slices, brown sugar, apple juice, water, and spice over medium heat until syrupy (about 20 min). Strain and stir in vanilla.
Assemble the macchiato:
Add 3 tbsp spiced apple syrup to a glass with ice. Pour in cold brew, then slowly layer the creamer. Top with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and a dusting of cinnamon.
